Compassion Campaign YouTube Contest
We are creating a forum for artists and filmmakers to express their visions of possibilities for our planet:
What is your picture of a peaceful planet? What does a compassionate global community look like to you?
What is your vision of Global Compassion?
The Global Visions Project is a campaign of consciousness that focuses on global vision and positive social change.
We stand together at a critical point in the evolution of mankind. We are seeking new possibilities and new
directions. We are building a vision of a new world. Join the Compassion Campaign. Express yourself.
Catch the vision. Bring it into form.
The first Compassion Campaign YouTube Video contest concluded on January 31, 2011.
We are proud to announce that the winner of the first contest is Public Academy for Performing Arts, Su Hudson director. Please see WINNER’S STATEMENT and link to the winning video below.
We recognize that everyone who participated in the Compassion Campaign is a winner. Whenever we express our compassion in the world, we experience the intrinsic reward of an open heart. With each act of kindness, we expand our personal capacity to love and we increase the circulation of Love throughout the world.
We wish to acknowledge everyone who participated in this contest and all staff members for helping to spread global compassion.
WINNERS STATEMENT
We were initially intrigued by the song “Season of Compassion.”
The opportunity to create a film, essentially a music video, without direction from the artist, the label, or a producer was both liberating and daunting.
The images we selected represent our school, The Public Academy for Performing Arts.
We feel that compassion is essential for a healthy community and school. We must instill the concept of compassion in our actions, whether it is for ourselves or others.
The PAPA Film and Media department created the film with the supervision of Ms. Hudson, the Film and Media instructor. As filmmakers and photographers it was interesting to discover how music can alter or accentuate the feelings of an image.
We enjoyed viewing our film online and sharing it with our friends and family. Thanks, Su Hudson, PAPA Film and Media
